With our juniors now separated throughout the coaching program, it is becoming more of a challenge to coach on an individual basis. We will do our best to progress you all on as much as possible.
There are only TEN spaces available on the lake, so if you want to come then book in now. (5 spaces left at the time of writing).
The water level is or was very low, but don’t let that put you off. The fish will still take a bait happily and there should be plenty of fish to catch. We will stop for lunch for 30-minutes at 13:30pm to break the day up a bit.
I am hoping that this good run of weather will keep going over the weekend, so bring plenty of sun cream. However, the long-range forecast does mention thunder and lightning. If this is the case, then we will evaluate the situation nearer the time. I can not and will not risk anyone’s safety just for a day fishing.
Bring the usual baits with you, Pellets, 2mm, 4mm, 6mm, and maybe 8mm. Might be worth bringing some ground bait. Luncheon meat might bring you some better Carp, and it may be a good call to bring some bread (crusty) and/or some dog biscuits (Pedigree Chum Mixers)/ Floating pellets. You will need maggots of course. If you can keep them in a cooler bag if it is a warm day. They will last longer and will not ‘sweat’ as much. Always keep maggots cool.
A whip will work well at Sharnhill as will a method feeder. Maybe a float rod depending on the fish.
See you there!
